    The new Ford Explorer has a refreshed front and rear styling. The main cabin has been redesigned with a new Google-based entertainment system. Plus, BlueCruise hands-free driving is now available on upper trim levels.

    Performance

    Four trim levels are available with the new Ford Explorer, giving drivers a few powertrain options to consider. The standard engine is a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder that makes 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. Ashland drivers who prefer a little more power should consider the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, which can produce 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque.

    A 10-speed automatic transmission is the only one available and comes standard with rear-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is optional across all trim levels. If you plan on hitting rough roads outside the Medford area, consider investing in all-wheel drive. If you'd like a sporty driving experience, the ST trim includes sport-tuned suspension, upgraded front brakes, and paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

    Interior

    The main cabin of the Ford Explorer has been redesigned for the new year, offering drivers great amenities like triple-zone automatic climate control to keep everyone comfortable. The second-row bench seating offers more flexibility, and the front seats feature heated and power-adjustable technology.

    Upgrade to the ST-Line trim for even more interior perks like black synthetic leather upholstery with cloth inserts and red stitching. Include the premium package for massaging front seats, heated second-row seats, power-folding third-row seats, and more. The ST-Line offers ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel for year-round comfort in Talent.

    The Platinum trim takes luxury to the max, offering leather upholstery, heated second-row captain's chairs, a twin-panel sunroof, and more. You don't have to compromise with the Ford Explorer.

    Get connected with premium technology in the Ford Explorer. The base model is generously outfitted with a 13.2-inch touchscreen featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The Google-based entertainment setup includes built-in navigation and integrated voice commands for easy accessibility.

    The ST-Line trim includes a 10-speaker B&O sound system, while upper trim levels include a wireless smartphone charging pad and a 14-speaker version of the sound system.
